The show focuses on the adventures of Timmy Turner, as he uses his Faeries to help him get through his everyday challenges,while his crazy fairy believing teacher Denzel Crocker tries to prove Timmy has faeries,and to capture them, in order to prove that he is not crazy (SPOILERS he knows about faeries because he once had Cosmo and Wanda SPOILERS)
Even if Timmy tries to make his life better w/his faeries he always ends up unwishing his wish and learns his lesson(sort of)for full info you can go here

I didn't know Cosmo and Wanda used to be with Crocker. Why did they leave him?
this might be a spoiler bu in the episode "the secret origin of Denzel crocker" Timmy was the one who accidentally revealed that Crocker had faeries because of Cosmo's stupidity
